
Camel is going after women and their desires with the ads for these cigarettes. From the colors, pink and green, to the intricate curls of the frame- Camel is creating an image of femininity for these cigarettes. As Nick Nailer is trying to do in Thank You for Smoking, Camel is trying to put sex back into the cigarettes. Light and luscious, intended to play at girls' senses. Luscious gives the cigarettes status and Camel hopes the intended audience will believe that by smoking these cigarettes they will also be viewed as pleasant and rich. These ads are run in the popular fashion magazines, so when females go to look for the latest hot clothes they can also find an "accessory." I imagine that his ad was successful in obtaining female customers who were already smokers just of another brand, however it does not inspire me to smoke.

I definitely agree with all of what you said about this ad. They couldn't of done a much better job making the ad appealing to woman. I know the main things I noticed contributing to this was the colors and the fonts. They were very girly and fun to look at
